Blessings! Just kidding... In a nutshell, I was raised in a fundamentalist pentacostal charismatic christian church and getting over that was pretty rough. I thought I was alone in my experience, but have come across a lot of people who have had similar challenges entering "the world" after leaving fear and guilt-based groups and worldview. The purpose of this group is two-fold: 1) Allow ex Christians to share openly and support each other through some of the challenges of leaving fun …

Hi! Welcome to my group & I hope we meet up soon! :) I started this group because I wanted to meet other young, non-religious singles on the Westside.
This group is different for three reasons:
1) Instead of debating/discussing/defending/expla

Mindful Mending is a collective of, family oriented, secular naturalists who want to promote post conventional moral standards. For this reason, although having children isn’t necessary for membership, Mindful Mending encourages child involvement at every Meetup. We will have random, child friendly, events but primarily focus on philanthropy. Our Meetups will consist of anything from local beach or park clean-ups, to having our children pack gift sacks for the sick boys and girls at a local hosp …
We are building a community for the new, fast growing, generation of atheist Americans. This group is opened to atheists/agnostics in their 20's and 30's who want to meet and talk with other like minded people. Our monthly event is an informal late lunch. We talk about anything that's on our mind, have some food and a few drinks. We also go bowling, play games and join in community events like the annual AIDS Walk and Atheists United's Highway Cleanup. Bring your friends or come to meet new ones …
We are a major organization for atheists in the Los Angeles metro area. Our monthly meetup is usually the 4rd Sunday at 11am. Our events vary from informative lectures to secular movies to playing fun games. Lunch is always served after the general meeting. Join our community of atheists to discuss beliefs and philosophies, deepen your freethought heritage and make new friends.
If you are a fan of the "Ardent Atheist" podcast, come hang out with Heather and Emery on the first Wednesday of every month on their "Stop God, Get Together for Heathens"!
We decided to start the group because it’s hard to find people who are happy to share their intellect and perspectives on being atheist. This group is not just to talk about religions or our atheist/ agnostic views but to hang out and have fun with people who share similar interests. This group is not for judgmental people who want to criticize other religions, but for those who want to educate each other on strengthening atheist beliefs and or educating each other on different religions, and or …
