The Detroit Grassroots Atheism Project (DGAP) has the primary goal of raising awareness about atheism and atheists through direct interaction with the public that we call "street teaching". Project volunteers provide literature and a point of contact between the public and the atheist community. Through this interaction we clear up the common and uncommon misunderstandings about atheism and inform people about what is atheism.

… By “Scholars,” we mean students of Atheism. This is an exclusive, lecture-based Meetup for select Atheists interested in learning in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The Detroit Atheist Social Hub is dedicated to enriching the atheist community and the lives of atheists in the Metro Detroit area and providing a means for atheists to participate together in social events and activities.
