FACT was founded in 1990 by activist Catherine Fahringer as the Secular Humanist Association of San Antonio. Then, in January of 1999, the membership elected to change the name to the Freethinkers Association of Central Texas (FACT). The Atheist Families of San Antonio provides a healthy social environment for families of atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists, freethinkers and other non-believers. We participate in a variety of family-friendly activities, such as visiting the Children's Museum, going to San Antonio Missions baseball games and just getting together as a group for lunch or dinner.
